Achisomoch Aid Company Limited (AAC) is a London based charity established more than 40 years ago, that provides highly efficient services and innovative solutions to clients and charities. We currently receive over £72m per year of donations from over 5,000 clients and donate grants to some 4,000 charities around the world. We are seeking to recruit an Operations Systems Coordinator to primarily work alongside our Operations and IT teams. The role will involve acting as a key link between the teams and help to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our systems and platforms. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience (min 2 years) in a similar role, be numerate and IT literate and have a high level of oral and written communication skills. You will be a key part of our small team.

The aim of AAC is to facilitate the giving of charity more efficiently and easily by creating a bridge between our clients and worldwide charities. Clients use their account to donate directly to charities, with all the features of a bank account – voucher books, cards, regular statements, on-line access, online charity donations, interactive queries on their account, low balance messages by SMS or email, and a help line that’s second-to-none.

Vacancy description:

The role is a key function within AAC supporting the smooth day-to-day running and continued development of our operational systems which are used by our clients. The successful candidate will coordinate system issues and testing, liaise closely with operational staff and the IT team and help ensure that bugs and system improvements are resolved efficiently. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with operational systems and coordinating issue resolution, as well as liaising effectively between operations and IT teams to support the smooth running and continuous improvement of our platforms and processes.
Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor operational systems and identify bugs or issues
  • Receive and coordinate issue reports from operational staff
  • Log, track and follow up system issues through to resolution
  • Liaise with the IT team regarding fixes and improvements
  • Assist with system/process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Maintain clear records of issues, resolutions and recurring trends
  • Provide general operational systems support to staff where required
  • Other tasks commensurate with the role and experience.

Qualifications/ experience required: ​

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable coordinating between operations and IT teams
  • Confident using systems and software platforms
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple issues simultaneously
  • Numerate, with strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures
  • IT literate with the ability to prepare reports in Word and spread sheets in Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with all colleagues is essential
  • Previous experience in operations, systems support/QA or project coordination preferred

Desirable

  • Experience working with bug tracking/task management systems
  • Experience testing software or operational workflows
  • Understanding of operational processes
  • An ability to take the initiative with the determination to see tasks through until completion.
  • Understanding of the UK Jewish charity sector & Jewish community

Remuneration:

Up to £40,000 per annum. Full training will be provided.
